Never love something so much that you can’t let go of it. – Ginni Rometty

In the words of Ginni Rometty, never love something so much that you can’t let go. Today marks a monumental change in my branding, and I have to admit, I’m nervous.

What changed?

Starting today, my normal username will be @CraylorTech.

After much thought and consideration, I felt that @Drumrocker365 no longer fit my mission. Drumming is something that’s close to my heart, and I am not quitting. Really, nothing is changing at all! However, my social media accounts and YouTube channel are all centered around tech. Since I have such a passion for tech, I needed a name to better describe what I do to newcomers.

But, why @CraylorTech?

You may be asking, why @CraylorTech? What does it mean? Who is “craylor”? Time to put an end to your burning questions. I thought long and hard about the “perfect” username, and obviously, it was just @ChristianTaylor. Unfortunately, like any “perfect” username, it was already taken. Naturally, I figured I’d do @ChristianTaylorTech and call it a day. Sadly, that’s beyond Twitter’s 15 character limit and I am going for consistency as much as possible here. My next choice was @CTaylorTech, but that was taken as well. I tried other variations like @CTTech, which were also taken. One day, my friend was messing around and thought it would be funny to combine the first part of my name with my last name. He started calling me “Chraylor.” I thought this was pretty funny! Then, when thinking of a username, I eventually thought “hey, what if I took that goofy name and turned it into a serious username?” After all, a successful username is one that people will remember. I removed the “h” so it looks a little nicer typed out 🙂

And that brings us to where we are now. The introduction of a new chapter, the introduction of @CraylorTech.

But I miss @Drumrocker365!

For those of you who miss my classic username, so do I! It was hard to let go of. It really was. But, for the sake of personal branding, it was time for a change. @Drumrocker365 will always have a special place in my heart, and I’m thankful for the support of every single subscriber and viewer.

Nothing Is Perfect

Unfortunately, the new branding brings some consistency problems. YouTube wouldn’t let me change my URL to, so I have instead changed it to You may also continue to use if you wish! So, as a general rule, my usernames on social media will always be @CraylorTech, and my YouTube channel URL is

No One Cares.

Seriously, no one does care. I’m typing this post more for myself than for you. At the end of the day, if people know how to reach you, your username is irrelevant. It’s just a tool for others to reach you. At the end of the day, content matters.

Welcome, @CraylorTech

So this is it. The changes have been made, and @CraylorTech is official as of today. Enjoy!
