When I first heard of Wiiv 3D Printed Insoles, I thought I was living in a dream. I pinched myself, and sure enough, it was real! “Take pictures of your feet,” they told me. Apparently that was supposed to make perfectly custom insoles fit to my feet. While I was skeptical, I took the plunge. 4 months later, how have they held up?

The Main Thing to Note: They Provide Essential Support Only

Something I noted in my original video, and something I want to note again, is that they only provide the essential support your foot needs. If you want to feel like you’re walking on a cloud, well, you won’t. If you ask me, this is a good thing. The insoles legitimately “disappear” after a few minutes of wearing them. I forget they’re there, but they keep on providing foot support.

Foot Support: Great

After 4 months, the Wiivv insoles are still providing excellent foot support. I recently wore them to a concert where I was standing on my feet for 4 hours. After the event, my feet were not sore at all! I attended the same event last year, and I remember how awful my feet felt without Wiivv insoles. So, 4 months later, these insoles still provide foot support perfectly.

Durability: Passable

There are a few spots that are starting to wear down on the pad, meaning they are “depressed” all of the time. The biggest thing to note is that the design printed on top is fading very quicky – the insole is almost white at this point. This doesn’t affect the functionality at all, but definitely makes the insoles feel a bit less customized. My main point of concern is the parts on the bad that are permanently depressed. I have not noticed any decrease in foot support, so I don’t think it’s too much of a concern.

How Long Will They Last?

At this rate, I’d quote them lasting 10-12 months under normal use. If you don’t use them full time, you may stretch them up to 18 months. My insoles have an outstanding job providing essential foot support over the past 4 months, and I am confident that they’ll continue to work for many more months!
